With the WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing)technology based on EDFA(Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) developing, it is possible to use multiple wavelengths to transmit over the same optical fiber. The technology can make full use of the high -speed of the optical fiber and reduce the cost of the amplifying containers, etc. It would be espected that this communication method has a very good prospects.
