摘要
高空环流与地面温度、海平面气压等气象要素有密切联系,而较为完整的北半球地面温度及地面气压都可追溯到上世纪后期。根据观测的地面温度和气压资料利用逐步回归的多元统计方法,恢复1873年以来的北半球冬季和夏季500hPa高度场,并用1951~1957年的独立资料进行了检验,分析表明恢复方案是可行的,恢复的结果是可信的。
The atmospheric circulation in 500hPa heights is related significantly to the surface climatic elements. This paper demonstrates an objective method of computing historical monthly mean 500hPa height anomalies of Northern Hemisphere using observed sea level pressure and surface temperature data. The authors applied a forward stepwise program to derive linear multiple regression equations. The 500hPa heights of winter and summer are reconstructed for the periods of 1873 to 1957.The results of reconstruction are compared to the independent data. It seems feasible to reconstruct the monthly 500hPa heights back to 1873 for all 12 months.
