摘要
行业背景下的高职英语教学改革必须以满足社会对毕业生英语能力的实际需求为方向.以浙江水利行业社会需求调查为例,分析了水利行业用人单位及水利专业毕业生就业后对英语能力的要求,指出了目前高职英语教学中的某些不足,并就如何完善高职行业英语课程建设提出了一些建议.
Vocational English teaching reform, under the background of diversified industries, should be oriented to improve graduates' English capacity in order to meet the social needs. Taking the water resources industry of Zhejiang as an example, the article analyzes the demands for English capacity, based on the results of social investigation, including the emplo- ying units in water industry and the graduates majored in water-related specialties as well. In addition, some deficiencies in current college ELT are identified, and several suggestions are put forward on how to improve industry English teaching in colleges.
