在《喧哗与骚动》刻画的人物中,班吉被看做白痴而被评论者们所忽视。然而,依据弗洛伊德的人格结构理论来解读文本,发现班吉对现实世界中的"酒"、"色"、"财"、"气"有着独特的体验。班吉的人格世界不仅仅是本我的,更是自我的。
To the characters depicted in The Sound and the Fury, Benjy was seen as an idiot who has been overlooked by critics. However, with Freud＇s theory of personality structure to interpret the text, a new finding shows that Benjy has a unique experience of ＂wine＂, ＂color＂, ＂wealth＂ and ＂smell＂ in the real world. The world of Benjy＇s personality is not just made of Id but also of Ego.
