从Archie谈网络信息组织模式

摘要 回溯网络信息组织模式的发展历程,简析历史上曾流行的网络信息组织模式存在的问题。如Archie花费用户较多的时间去检索信息、Gopher搜索信息耗费的时间较长,搜索引擎的查准率仍有待提高等。为此人们提出了元数据——一种提供关于信息资源或数据的结构化的数据,试图借助该方法来提高网络信息组织与检索。
