枣树沟脑遗址位于陕西淳化县润镇乡梁家行政村辖区（图一）。2005年9月，西北大学文化遗产与考古学研究中心对古“豳”地（大致包括今陕西长武、彬县、旬邑和淳化诸县域）进行考古调查时，发现此处分布有仰韶文化中期及先周、秦汉时期的文化遗存。为深入研究先周时期古“豳”地区的文化面貌，
In April through July 2006, the Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Research Center, Northwest University and other institutions excavated the Zaoshugounao Site in Chunhua County, Shaanxi. The excavation recovered large amounts of remains of the Proto-Zhou Culture, including ash pits, house foundations and burials, from which potteries and implements made of stone and bone and other artifacts were unearthed. This site was large in scope and its cultural connotation was rich and eomplex, showing unique cultural characteristics, the potteries with serpentine designs of which was discovered for the first time in the Proto-Zhou sites located in the ancient Bin Area, the main distribution area of Proto-Zhou Culture. This excavation provided new materials for the researches on the Proto-Zhou Culture and significant clues for the exploration of the cultural development of ancient Bin Area.
