摘要 加强衰老机理与延缓衰老的研究是新世纪老年医学与老年生物学重大研究课题。近年来对“衰老基因”、“长寿基因”、氧自由基、细胞凋亡及染色体顶端的端粒进行了一些新的探索,取得了一些新的进展。未来的老年医学除继续加强对心脑血管疾病及恶性肿瘤的防治研究外,对未来可能发展成为严重威胁老年人健康长寿的疾病,如老年性痴呆、骨质疏松症及糖尿病等,须加强流行病学调查、发病机理、早期诊断及新药开发的研究工作。特别强调的是需要踏踏实实地落实“三级预防”工作,为把我国建设成为“人人享有卫生保健”及“健康老龄化”的社会作出积极贡献。 One of the most important research topics is to strengthen the exploration of the aging mechanisms and antiaging strategies in the field of Gerontology and Geriatrics in the new Millennium.In the past century we have made somr progress in the exploration of some possible mechanisms relating to aging,such as aging related gene,longevity gene,free radical theory,apoptosis and tolemerase,etc.In future,we should carry on the therapeutic and preventive research on cerebral and vascular diseases and malignant tumors.Moreover our attention should be paid to those disease,which may develop into serious threat to healthy longevity in the aged,such as senile dementia,osteoporosis and diebetes melitus,especially in the field of epidemiology,pathomechanism,early diagnosis and new drug development.It is worth reiterating the importance of “three-step-prevention” to make sure that everybody enjoys health care and that our society becomes a healthy aging one.
