摘要
本文在阐述知识经济的兴起、影响和我国的认识,以及知识经济的知识化特征的基础上,着重分析和论述了我国图书情报事业在知识经济中面临的新的发展机遇,主要包括:①知识信息量激增、社会需求明显增加,是促进我国图书情报事业发展的根本动力;②图书情报机构是国家知识基础设施的重要组成部分;③图书情报工作在国家创新体系中的重要地位和作用;④作为知识产业组成部分的信息服务业将获得更大发展;⑤图书情报机构将成为学习中心,是培养创新性高素质人才的重要阵地;⑥知识经济的发展能为图书情报事业提供雄厚的物质基础和先进的技术手段,从而推动其快速发展。最后,还从五个方面探讨了面向知识经济时代我国图书情报事业发展中面临的新挑战。
