摘要
在历史上与现实生活中,将文化与文明两个概念混用或相等同是一种普遍现象。我们可以从词源学、发生学以及人们在日常生活中的具体语境等不同维度与视角对文化与文明之间的差异进行分辨与澄清。文化与文明各自都有长久存活的原因,同时有着生成上的同根性、同源性以及结构上的类构性特点,二者之间是相互渗透、相互作用、相互促进的。文化是文明的精神灵魂与内核,文明是文化的对象化,是文化外显的载体。正确地把握文化与文明的既相区别又相联系的关系,是既有学术价值又有现实意义的。
Culture and civilization are two concepts identical,similar or relative to and different from each other.It is a common phenomenon to mix them in use or to identify the two concepts with each other.We may discriminate and clear up the differences between culture and civilization from different perspectives such as etymology,embryology,and daily context etc..There are causes for culture and civilization to exist prolonged separately,and they have some generative characteristics of same root,etymology,and similar structures,because both of them infiltrate,interact and promote mutually.Culture is the spirit and core of civilization;while civilization is an objectified culture and an apparent carrier of culture.It is academically valuable and significant in reality to comprehend correctly the relationship between culture and civilization.
