Progress in research of quorum sensing system in Vibrio cholerae

摘要 密度感应(Quorum sensing,QS)系统在细菌中普遍存在,细菌细胞通过识别和密度依赖性应答其自身或周围环境中其他菌细胞分泌的一种或多种信号分子来影响一系列基因的转录表达,从而参与细菌多种生理功能的调节。革兰阴性菌的密度感应现象最早发现于海洋弧菌中,本文主要综述了烈性肠道传染病病原体-霍乱弧菌中密度感应系统的研究进展,包括系统组成、信号传递过程、调节的生理功能及与其他全局性调控因子的相互作用。 Quorum-sensing(QS) systems commonly exist in procaryote kingdom and regulate various cellular biological functions, which involves the production and sensing of one or more signal molecules secreted by the members of same species and others, regulation of target genes, expression to coordinate cell behavior in response to cell density. The Gram-negative QS systems were first discovered and extensively characterized in the marine Vibrios. This review focuses on the composition of QS networks in human pathogen Vibrio cholerae; how chemical information is integrated, processed and transduced to control gene expression and how QS interfere with other global regulators.
