This paper presents the textual research on a piece of Mongolian document discoveredin Heishuicheng, which, by comparing with the Qing Dynasty versions, the authors verify as a fragment of the Buddhist Sutra Wushouhushen Dacheng Jing- Shouhu Daqian Guotu Jing(Mahayana Sutra of Five Protective Gods - Thousands Lands Guard Angel Sutra compiled in Mongolian and' Phags -- pa Scripts during the Yuan Dynasty. This is the first evidence in its kind. According to the ending notes of some versions which indicated that the translator was the Yuan Buddhist Xilabucengge, some scholars kept assuming that there must have been a Mongolian version of the Sutra published during the Yuan Dynasty, although no evidence was found then. Now we have found a fragment of the Sutra. It has not only Uyghur Mongolian script on it, but also the official Yuan Mongolian script-' Phags-pa script on it. This is good evidence to prove that the Sutra was published in Mongolian during the Yuan Dynasty.
