摘要
新世纪西方哥特式批评理论和实践的繁荣令人瞩目,这一方面扩大了对哥特式小说研究,另一方面也引发了哥特式小说研究的纷繁复杂和定义的模糊不清,进而造成哥特式小说文本的盲目扩张。哥特式小说研究扩张的深层原因是西方学者在对哥特式文本的探索中,一味关注文本的"相似性",忽略了哥特式"共相"的探索。今后哥特式小说研究应该走出"相似性"这一怪圈,重点关注"哥特式小说的本质是什么"这一关键问题。
The new century has witnessed an explosion of theoretical construction and theoretical practices in Gothic novels,resulting in a thriving and confusing situation:the ambiguity and unclearness about the definition of the Gothic Novel,and blind enlargement of Gothic texts.The worsening problem lies in the excessive attention to Gothic texts’ resemblance and inadequate concern about texts’ universal essence,which demands more and more attention in the future Gothic studies.
