Clinical Observation of Early Functional Mandibular Deviation Corrected by Maxillary Expansion

摘要目的探讨应用上颌扩弓治疗纠正早期功能性下颌偏斜的临床疗效。方法回顾分析2007年10月至2010年10月在我院采用Quad-Helix慢速扩弓方法治疗的30例单侧后牙反导致的下颌功能性偏斜青少年患者在矫治前后头颅定位后前位片P-A的测量资料,用统计软件处理数据。结果 30例患者经上颌扩弓治疗后两侧下颌体长度差明显减小,下颌骨两侧结构不对称性明显改善,患者均获得理想外观。结论上颌扩弓治疗纠正早期功能性下颌偏斜疗效显著,是早期纠正下颌功能性偏斜的有效手段。 Objective To explore the clinical effect of early functional mandibular deviation corrected by maxillary expansion. Methods 30 adolescent patients of early functional mandibular deviation caused by unilateral crossbite were treated by maxillary expansion （Ouad-HeIix）. Posteroanterior cephalometric analysis was conducted before and after treatment. All data were analyzed by SPSS statisticaI software. Results After the correction of unilateraI crossbite by maxillary expansion, the bilateraI mandibular difference of body length decreased and the asymmetry of bilateral mandible improved significantIy. All patients obtained the ideal appearance. Conclusion Maxillary expansion in the treatment of early functional mandibular deviation has a significant curative effect, which is an effective measure of correcting early functional mandibular deviation.
