威拉·凯瑟是美国文坛上著名的乡土文学女作家,是对美国西进运动进行热情歌颂的伟大诗人。《啊,拓荒者!》是她的第一部具有影响力的作品。本文通过对凯瑟的小说中的女拓荒者进行人物形象分析,揭示其中蕴涵的凯瑟的女性主义思想:对父权社会的不满和控诉以及对被压迫妇女的深切同情。
Willa Cather is a famous local literature woman writer in American literary world,as well as a great poet who sang the praises of the American westward movement.＂O Pioneer!＂ is her first influential works. This paper attempts to analyze the female pioneers in Cather＇s novel,so as to reveal the implication of Cather＇s feminist thought,her charge of the patriarchal society and her sympathy for the oppressed women.
