An Empirical Analysis of the Impacts of FDI on the Pollution Emission in Chinese Manufacturing Industry

摘要 FDI主要流入制造业中相对清洁的部门,从直接效应来看,FDI流入并没引起制造业污染排放的增加,反而减少了制造业的污染排放。基于投入产出的计算结果,FDI对中国制造业污染排放的间接拉动效应存在行业差异性,且FDI的间接效应只引起制造业中二氧化硫排放的上升,而对工业废水和工业烟尘的排放影响不显著。制造业各行业的能源消耗和科技投入也是造成污染排放增加的重要原因。 FDI flow mainly into the relatively clean sectors in the manufacturing industry. From the direct effect, the inflow of FDI didn＇t cause the increase in the pollution emission in the manufacturing industry but reduced the pollution emission in the manufacturing industry. According to the input and output analysis, the indirect impacts of FDI on the pollution emission of manufacturing industry are different among different industries. The indirect effects of FDI only cause the increase in the emission of sulfur dioxide, but the effect on industrial waste water discharge and industrial soot emission is not obvious. The energy consumption and technology input in manufacturing industry are also the important reasons for the increase in pollution emission.
