摘要
计算技术一直在向深度和广度进军,因此可以把计算技术的发展过程与趋势用“深度计算”(deep computing) 和“广度计算”(pervasive computing) 高度概括。从计算技术与通信技术结合的角度来看,网络一直在向“信息传输”与“信息处理”紧密结合的方向发展,即向信息网络方向发展。信息网络既支持深度计算,也支持广度计算,形成了“网络计算”的新领域。本文从上述三方面来讨论有关领域的发展趋势。
This paper highlights the development in deep computing, pervasive computing and information networks. Deep computing, on the one hand, makes computers more and more powerful, approaching 1 billion operations per second for single gigantic main frame, together with advances in network computing, knowledge based computing, and brain science. Pervasive computing, on the other hand, turns the traditional networks into the information networks permeating through every field of human life all over the world, with personalization information services and with a user-network interface adapted to human being.
