摘要
本文评述西方现代文体学( 尤其是英语文体学) 一个世纪以来的发展历程。共分四个部分: 一、20 世纪前半叶: 现代文体学的成长期; 二、60 至70 年代: 现代文体学的兴盛期; 三、80 年代: 话语文体学的兴起; 四、90 年代: 社会历史/ 文化文体学的蓬勃发展。
The present paper offers a review of the development of Western stylistics in the 20 th century, with its focus on English stylistics. The paper falls into four parts: the first part discusses briefly the growth of modern stylistics during the first half of the 20 th century; the second part is concerned with the flourish of stylistics during the 60s and 70s; the third part focuses on the rise of discourse stylistics during the 80s, and the last part deals with the thriving development of sociohistorical/socio_cultural stylistics in the 90s.
