摘要
在我国实行全方位对外开放的战略抉择中,边疆民族地区利用区位的优势,积极向周边国家开放,发展同周边国家的边境贸易,已经成为我国对外开放的重要组成部分。实践证明,发展边境贸易是振兴边疆民族地区经济的有效途径。新的世纪,挑战与机遇并存,边疆少数民族地区应紧紧抓住当前加快西部大开发和我国即将加入世界贸易组织的有利时机。
Since China began to carry out the strategical choice of opening toward the outside world in an all-round way,taking the advantage of the superiority of their locations facing the adjacent countries,the ethnic minority areas in the borderland have opened up to neighbouring countries positively,made great ef forts in developing frontier trade with neighbouring countries and become an important copmonent in China's opening toward the outside world.The practice proves that developing frontier trade is an effective way for vitalizing and prospering the economy of ethnic minority areas in the borderland.Facing the new century's challenges and opportunities that exist simultaneously,the ethnic minority areas in the borderland should grasp the advantageous opportunities that the central authorities has decided to speed up the development of China's western part and our country will soon enter the WTO,and positively create the necessary conditions so as to make frontier trade to reach to a higher level and stage.
