摘要
诗词翻译最重要的标准是忠实传达原著的思想感情,并使译文有一定的音乐美。许渊冲教授提出的三美,作为经验之谈十分可贵,但不应树为翻译标准,因为三美并不是所有诗词的主要特点。形美的提法和音美的内容都有值得商榷之处。
In translation of classical Chinese poetry, the most important standard is to transmit faithfully the thoughts and feelings of the original works, and make the translated works read more beautifully in sound. The theory of ＂Three Beauties＂ in translation put forward by Xu Yuanchong is very valuable as experiences, but should not arise as the translation criteria, because the ＂Three Beauties＂ cannot cover the main characteristics of all poems. Both the formulation of ＂beauty in form＂ and the content of ＂beauty in sound＂ are questionable.
