摘要
茶尺蠖五龄幼虫的取食活动是不连续的,在室内无昼夜节律。此文对取食行为作了定性和定量的描述,区分出两种类型的取食间隔,证明了取食的开始与终止不是随机的,并提出了取食行为的动机模型,以解释取食行为和与之相关的的某些行为的发生。幼虫在人工饲料上与在茶叶上的取食行为表现出相似的时间模式,但在一些具体的指标上差异显著。
Feeding behavior of the fifth instar larvae of tea geometrid (Ectropis obliqua hypulina Wehrli, Lepidoptera, Geometridae) eating artificial diet and tea was qualitatively and quantitatively discribed through continual observation for 24 hours in the laboratory. Feeding activities of all the twelve insects observed were shown to occur in discrete boults, separated by periods which called feeding gaps, and displayed no circadian rhythms. Two types of feeding gaps can be differentiated in all the larvae, no matter feeding on tea or on artificial diet. The initiation and termination of the larval feeding activity are non-random processes, and the tests of the observed distribution of boult length are well fitted to the negative binomial distribution in every case. According to the results of analyses, a model of motivation system of feeding behavior is proposed in order to explain the processes of feeding and other activities related to feeding. All the larvae eating artificial diet and tea share a similar temporal feeding patterns, The meal length, the net time spent to eat in a meal, inter-feeding gap and intra-feeding gap length, boult numbers and the numbers of two types of gaps of the larvae feeding on artificial diet, however, is significantly different (t-tests, P<0.01) from those feeding on tea. The net time spent to eat in a meal positively related to the length of inter-feeding gaps that following the meal.
