摘要
山西合盛元票号在日本设立分庄开创了中国银行在海外开拓市场的历史,是中国近代金融史上的一件大事,但目前国内学界对于这一事件的研究成果甚少。文章通过对日本相关历史文献的挖掘,再结合国内一些原始文档的记载,可知中日贸易和中国学生留学日本两方面原因促使合盛元在日本设庄,而自身实力不足则最终导致其撤庄。
This paper examines the reason why Heshengyuan Piaohao opened branch bank and closed it in Japan depending on the background of the Sino-Japanese trade,and analyzes the gap between Yokohama Specie Bank and Heshengyuan Piaohao,and then advises that the rise of the new Shanxi Merchants should have a modern concept.The author viewes that Heshengyuan＇s failure in abroad market is because of a large lack of modern concepts of the whole Chinese society in 1910s.
