摘要
本文通过历史文献的考释,从"城"的本义入手,考察从原始聚落到"城"的演变过程,研究中国古代"城"的防御功能与社会政治意义,总结"城"对于居民身份的划分作用及其对后世户籍制度的影响。
By analyzing and explaining the source and meaing of the word ＇City＇ through making textual research on historical documents,this article discussed the evolution from the original settlement to the ＇city＇.On the basis of researching the defense function and social significance of the ＇city＇ in ancient China,this paper summaried the division of residents identity by ＇city＇ and its impact on household registration system today.
