摘要
本文通过构建博弈模型研究人民币升值对出口企业研发活动的影响,结果发现:当本币币值较低时,企业偏好于扩大市场份额而非提高生产效率。随着本币升值,技术含量低且生产方式较为粗放的行业中,企业倾向于由开拓市场转向过程研发以提高生产效率、改善利润率;技术含量和生产效率均较高的行业中,企业侧重产品研发以应对升值。本币升值幅度较大、行业内竞争比较激烈时,出口企业会放弃研发活动维持现状,或采取非技术手段压缩成本、拓展市场。因此,建议人民币适度升值以促进出口企业提高研发活动质量。
A game model is constructed to analyze the effects of RMB appreciation on export firms' R&D activities. The results show that: When home currency is relative low, export firms prefer market - expanding rather, than efficiency-improving. In low- tech and extensive industries, appreciation might turn firms from exploiting the market to Process R&D in order to improve production efficiency and enhance profitability. While in high - tech and intensive industries, firms focus on Product R&D in response to the appreciation. Sharp appreciation and fierce competition might make export firms give up R&D activities to maintain the status quo or take non - tech measures to reduce costs. It is suggested that RMB appreciates modestly to improve export firms' R&D quality.
