cis-and trans-1, 4-Di(2-naphthyl) cyclohexanes(DNCH) were synthesized by Frie-del-Crafts alkylation of naphthalene with 1, 4-dibromocyclohexane. The cis- and trans-DNCHisomers were separated by column chromatography. The structures of the isomers were deter-mined by ~1HNMR. ^(13)CNMR and MS.
