Dwarfed by novels and poems who often made a hit in 1980s,Chinese proses of the New Literary Age seemed to have undergone a sort of depression. This may be justified by the fact that prose is a most marginal writing style and is burdened by traditional traits which leave little room for changes.Nevertheless, proses had been hot in 1990s and even used to be the focus of literature in accordance with cultural transformation.Though merely lasting for a short period of time,"relapse of the tradition" and "division of the variant" of proses have explored new ways of innovation in both style and language.
