TiN涂层对不同高速钢耐磨和切削性能的影响

INFLUENCE OF TiN COATING ON THE WEAR RESISTANCE AND CUTTING PERFORMACE OF HIGH SPEED STEELS

摘要 本文研究了不同程度合金化高速钢非涂层和物理气相沉积TiN涂层试样的抗干滑动磨损性能、磨损机理以及不同高速钢车刀片切削40Cr、GCr15和1Crl8Ni9Ti不锈钢时涂层和非涂层刀具的切削性能。试验表明,TiN涂层高速钢耐磨性较非涂层钢提高近一个数量级。低合金高速钢D950和Vasco Dyne的耐磨性不亚于通用高速钢M2。涂层试样磨损机理主要为粘附-接触疲劳剥落磨损。涂层刀具切削性能较非涂层刀具大为提高。涂层低合金高速钢刀具性能不亚于涂层通用高速钢M2。试验结果表明,TiN涂层的应用为高速钢特别是低合金高速钢的开发应用提供了广阔的前景,涂层刀具在中硬及难加工材料的切削加工方面有着应用的潜力。对PVD TiN涂层的微观组织,结构等也进行了研究。 An intensive study has been carried out on the wear resistance of HSS coated with an ion plated titanium nitride layer by means of a pin-on-ring test and the cutting performance of different types of TiN coated and uncoated HSS tools used at a variety of cutting speeds when machining 40Cr GCr15 and 1Cr18N19Ti stainless steel. The experimntat results indicated that the wear resistance of TiN coated HSS was 10 times higher than that of uncoated HSS. The main wear mechanism of TiN coated HSS is adhesion-fatigue wear. The results showed that TiN coated HSS tools had a much better cutting derpormance than uncoated HSS tools. TiN coating can decrease the cutting force by 10-40%, friction coefficient by 80%, cutting edge temperature by 100℃ and increase tool life as well as the surface quality of the workpieces. A stable micro built-up edge was produced rapidly on the coated tools which causes reduced primary wear and, hence, increased tool life. Low alloy HSS D950, VascoDyne are competitive with typical HSS M2 in wear resistance and cutting performance.Supplementary experiments including X-ray, AES, SEM and microhardness test have been carried out to study the morphology, the phase constitution, the thickness and the microhardness of TiN coating layer.
