A new equation describing the relationship between the retention values of homologues and column temperature, carbon numbers, mobile phase composition in reversed-phase liquid chromatography, has been inferred on the basis of the basic equation or chromatogram reten.tion value proposed by Lu Peizhang et al. [1] Mathematical method and experiment data have proved that there is a common point of intersection for the straight lines or in k. vs. T-1 in,the homologues when chromatogram column and mobile phase composition have been determined in reversed-phase liquid chromatograpby. Therefore, the intersection point equation has been put forward and examined by experimental data, and the results are satisfactory.
