摘要
MicroRNA是真核生物中一类长度约为20~24个核苷酸的非编码小分子RNA。自1993年首次在线虫中发现以来,miRNA的研究一直局限于动物中。2002年,miRNA被证实也存在于植物中,随后植物中越来越多的miRNA相继被报道。miRNA的主要功能是通过与靶mRNA的特异位点结合,抑制靶蛋白的产生或者降解mRNA,从而调节内源基因表达,miRNA在基因活动调控网络中扮演了重要的角色。对Mi-croRNA的研究将有助于我们探究基因之间的网络调控关系。本文概述了在MicroRNA的结构特点、生物合成、作用机理及功能等方面的研究进展。
MicroRNAs are small RNAs about 20~24nt and non-coding. When microRNAs were firstly discovered in Caenorhabditis elegans in 1993, they had been studied only in animals. In 2002, they were also found in plants. Since then, more and more miRNAs have been reported in various plants. The role of microRNAs was inhibit the production of target proteins or induce degration of mRNAs by binding to specific region of target mRNAs, then regulated the expression of endogenous genes. The study of miRNAs will be helped broad our field of vision on understanding of gene regalation networks. This paper reported and summarized the progressed in miRNA's characteristics, biosynthesis, mechanism, as well as the functions.
