Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment of Brain Tumors by Photodynamic Techniques

摘要 光动力技术(photodynamic techniques,PDTe)包括光动力诊断(photodynamic diagnosis,PDD)、荧光引导下肿瘤切除(fluo-rescence-guided tumor resection,FGR)和光动力疗法(photodynamic therapy,PDT),其应用于恶性脑肿瘤的治疗已有30余年。恶性脑肿瘤的预后极差,通过传统的治疗方案延长的生存期有限,而PDTe则有诸多优势:运用PDD/FGR可在术中实时分辨肿瘤与正常组织,明显减少肿瘤残余。PDT是一项安全性高的治疗方法,能选择性杀灭肿瘤细胞,延长生存期。光敏剂、光照设备及光照方式在不断进步,使PDTe在脑肿瘤中的应用日趋成熟。已有越来越多的报道证实PDTe在脑肿瘤治疗中的优越性。 Photodynamic techniques(PDTe) comprise of photodynamic diagnosis(PDD),fluorescence-guided tumor resection(FGR) and photodynamic therapy(PDT).It has been more than 30 years since the application of PDTe in the therapy of malignant brain tumors.Malignant brain tumors have a very terrible prognosis.The prolongation of survival term by conventional therapy was limited,however the PDTe have many superiorities as follows:the application of PDD/FGR makes us distinguish tumor tissue from the normal one easily,therefore the residues of tumor cells reduce obviously.PDT is a high safety therapy which can kill the tumor cells selectively,then prolong the survival term.The photosensizers,implements for illumination and illumination methods are making progress continuously,which make the application of PDTe in brain tumors more and more mature.There have been more and more reports to confirm the superiorities of PDTe in the therapy of brain tumors.
