摘要
通过对高等院校开展专门用途英语(ESP)教学的必要性分析,提出了大学英语教学改革的方向是逐步将重心偏向于ESP教学。针对当前农业院校ESP课程设置的现状,从课程定位、教学内容及安排、师资构成及教学模式几个方面探讨了农业院校ESP课程设置的关键环节,以期实现培养学生在一定学科背景下运用英语开展研究或工作的交际能力的教学目标。
By analyzing the requirements in setting ESP course in universities,it is shown that the reform of college English teaching should put stress on ESP teaching.Based on the present circumstances of the course in our agricultural colleges and universities,the paper discusses on several key points of ESP course designing,including the orientation of the course,the content and arrangement of the course,sources of teachers and teaching model,to reach the teaching goals of training students＇ communicative ability to apply English to their special field of research or work.
