The process of inhibition can be described as suppression of an ongoing action, inhibition of a proponent reaction, and interference response. The ability of inhibition is an essential qualification in learning process as well as adjusting dynamic environment. It also affects behavior pattern in many aspects. Inhibitory control could be classified based on various cognitive perspectives. The ability of inhibitory control develops along with growing and aging.
