Review and Comments on Bit Selection Methods at Home and Abroad

摘要 在钻井工程中,钻头用于破碎岩石形成井眼。钻头的类型、质量优劣与岩性及钻井工艺条件是否适应对钻井速度、钻井成本和井身质量有直接影响。钻头的优选方法可分为三类:岩石力学参数法、钻头使用效果评价法及综合法。介绍常见的几种优选方法,分析目前各种钻头选型方法的基本思想、基本原理和简要的操作流程,及其适用情况和优缺点。最后指出,最佳的钻头优选方法应当是综合考虑钻头工作性能和岩石力学特性,同时兼顾钻头直接和潜在经济效益。 Drill bit is used to break rock and build borehole in drilling engineering.The type and quality of bit can affect the rate and cost of drilling directly,as well as wellbore quality.Thus it's quite important to select a drill bit.The methods for bit selection can be classified into three types of rock mechanics parameter method,bit usage effect method and comprehensive method.By referring to papers about bit selection at home and abroad,firstly several kinds of traditional bit selection methods are recommended,then the basic idea as well as brief operational process,application and relative merits of each method are analyzed in detail.Finally,it is pointed out the best method for bit selection is to combine the bit performance and mechanical property with the direct and potential economic benefits of bit.
