摘要
设计是工程的核心,设计能力被视为工程师应具备的最重要的能力之一。作为工程教育基本单元的课程对工程设计能力培养具有直接作用。本文重点分析工程设计四个要素及工程设计能力要求和课程之间的关系,然后以MIT机械工程系的课程为例,进一步说明本科课程对于工程设计能力培养应发挥的作用。
It is known that design is the core of engineering, so the ability of design is considered as one of the crucial capabilities of a qualified engineer. In the teaching and learning process, engineering curriculum, the basic element of engineering education, exerts direct influence on engineering design study. This paper starts with the analysis of the relationship between engineering curriculum and four basic units of engineering design as well as its requirement, and then introduces the practice of Mechanical Engineering Department in MIT in order to demonstrate the effect and efficacy of undergraduate engineering curriculum to improve engineering design ability.
