Habitus and Conversational Maxims: A Reflection

摘要 Levinson认为Grice的会话准则与Bourdieu的惯习概念是同一路的。研究对此进行批评性反思，指出二者有本质的不同，在深层假设、性质和约束力各方面都有不同表现，差异大于共性，而不像kvinson所说的二者性质相同，前者比后者明晰。惯习反倒是与Grice的禀性概念接近。 A critical analysis is conducted to delineate the similarities and differences between Griee＇s notion of conversational maxims and Bourdieu＇s habitus. It shows, unlike Levinson＇ s claim that the two are of a similar kind of beast with the former more distinct than the latter, the two differ in essential ways： the basic hypothesis, features and restrictive powers. Habitus is, comparatively, closer to Grice＇ s notion of propension.
