摘要
【目的】选育出果实皮色在西瓜市场上颇受欢迎的绿底带花纹、外形与"新红宝"相似、且丰产稳产、抗病和抗衰力较好的杂种一代大果型普通西瓜新组合,以满足西瓜生产多元化发展的需求。【方法】1997年秋,以xy-1-2-5-1-2自交系为母本、Nb-3-3-1自交系为父本,共计杂交组配7个组合,并于1998年进行春秋两造的大田组合测试及室内分析鉴评,2000～2010年进行多点示范与大面积生产试验。【结果】选育出大果型普通西瓜新品种"桂红二号",该品种中早熟,全生育期春季100～105d、秋季75～80d,开花至果实成熟期32～34d;植株长势中强,分枝能力中等,较抗炭疽病等病害,易坐果;果实长椭圆形,表皮绿色布深绿条带,皮厚1.0～1.2cm,耐贮运;一般单果重7～9kg,丰产稳产;果肉红色,中心可溶性固形物含量11.0%～12.0%,肉质嫩脆清甜,口感佳。2006年通过广西农作物品种审定委员会审定。【结论】"桂红二号"大果型普通西瓜生长势强、丰产稳产、抗病性好、适应广、外观美,适合广西、海南等各西瓜产地推广种植。
[Objective]Experiments were conducted to breed a new first generation large-size hybrid watermelon variety with green strip skin, high and stable yield and strong resistance to diseases and aging in order to meet the diverse needs of watermelon industry. [Method]The self-bred lines xy-1-2-5-1-2 and Nb-3-3-1 were used as female and male parent, respectively, to develop 7 watermelon crosses in autumn in 1997. Field test and indoor evaluation of these combinations were carried out in spring and autumn in 1998. Multi-location demonstration and production in large areas were conducted from 2000-2010. [Result]A new large-size watermelon variety Guihong 2 with mid-maturity was bred. Its growth period was recorded as 100-105 d in spring and 75-80 d in autumn. It required 32-34 d from flowering to fruit maturity. The plant vigor and branching ability were found moderate with excellent fruit-setting and good resistance to anthracnose disease. The fruit appearance of Guihong 2 was long ellipsoid with dark green stripes and green skin. The skin thickness was 1.0-1.2 cm with durable storage and transportation ability. The weight of single fruit was 7-9 kg with high and stable yield. Its flesh was red and crispy and the soluble solid contents were in range of 11-12% with good taste. Guihong 2 was certified and registered by Guangxi Committee for Crop Variety Registration in 2006. [Conclusion]Due to strong growth vigor and branching ability, high and stable yield, resistance to diseases, nice appearance and wide adaptability, it is recommended to be extended in watermelon producing areas of Guangxi and Hainan.
