农香18系湖南省水稻研究所以优质香稻"湘晚籼10号"中的优良株系作母本,以广东省水稻研究所培育的优质稻"三合占"作父本杂交,经6 a系统选育而成的国标一等优质稻品种,其产量与对照威优46相当,米质特优,具有广阔的市场开发前景。
NongXiang18 was bred by Hunan Rice Research Institute,a new late-season aromatic rice variety with fine grain quality,derived from Xiangwanxian No.10 and Sanhezhan（Guangdong Rice Research Institute） through six years breeding.It has stable yie1d as that of Weiyou46（ck） and has a high grain quality meeting to the 1st class of national standards for fine quality rice.It would have broad prospect of marketing.
