７０ 年代末，云南边境逐步开放，大量流动人口出入国境，边境疟疾回升。９ 年观察结果显示，人口流动与疟疾发病关系密切，来自内地的流动人口和山区下河谷生产人员疟疾发病率分别为１．１２％ 和０．６４％ 。中国边民与来自缅甸、老挝和越南入境边民发热病人血检阳性率分别为 ４．５３％ 、１９．７５％ 、２７．５５％ 和３．９０％ 。中国边民出境到缅甸、老挝和越南回归后发热病人血检阳性率分别为８．８０％ 、３２．８２％ 和３．３８％ 。微小按蚊是边境地区的主要媒介，平均半通宵密度０．３２ 只／人·半夜，人工小时捕蚊，平均人房０．２５ 只／ｈ，牛房 ０．８９ 只／ｈ，户密度平均人房０．０６只／户，牛房０．２１ 只／户。１９８９～１９９６ 年１０３ 个自然村发生疟疾暴发流行，通过开展边境疟疾联防，疟疾发病出现缓慢下降的趋势。加强对各种流动人群的分类管理措施，才能控制边境疟疾流行。
Yunnan borders have been opened since the end of 1970s. The number of malaria cases rose again. One of the reasons was a large population passing in and out of the areas. The results of nine years observation showed that the mobile population had a close relationship with the malaria incidence. The malaria incidence was 1.12% among the mobile people from inland of China and 0.64% among the people from mountain area to valley to plant cash crops. The parasite positive rates of the fever cases of Chinese inhabitants of border areas and the foreigners from Burma, Laos and Vietnam were 4.53%, 19.75%, 27.55 % and 3.90% respectively. The parasite positive rates of the Chinese inhabitant returning from Burma, Laos and Vietnam were 8.80%, 32.82% and 3.38% respectively. The average density of An. minimus was 0.32/person·half night. Its average density in dwelling house was 0.25/hour and in cowshed was 0.89/hour. The dwelling density was 0.06/door and the cowshed density was 0.21/room. It is the main vector in border areas. From 1989 to 1996, malaria outbreak took place in 103 natural villages. There were 3 419 people with malaria attack. However, malaria incidence was slowly declining because of the malaria joint defence.
