摘要
介绍了人类首次徒步穿越和科学考察雅鲁藏布大峡谷的最新成果。
During October,1998,Chinese scientists first fime completed passing through the whole Yalungzangbu Great Canyon and made scientific investigations by the scientists of multidisciplines and got some discoveries and brought forth new ideas. The geographic characteristic section of the Great Canyon was surveyed accurately. The datum point for level survey was established,and according to the field surveying the depth of the Great Canyon at its deepest section is 6009 m,the length of the Gread Canyon is 504.8 km,and by these authoritarian data, the Great Canyon as the greatest canyon in the world was confirmed once again. The fact that there are four groups of waterfall on the river bed of Great Canyon was discoveryed and confirmed,a lot of first hand materials in the fields of geography,geology,the channel of moisture,biology,water resource,the environment and the programme for exploiting were obtained.
