The gold deposits, occurring in the south subzone of western Qinling ,are the only typical and important stratabound gold deposits, which were associated with submarine exhalative sedimentation. The gold deposits include Laerma ore deposit,Qiongmo ore deposit and Yaxiang ore occurrence. They exist in the Cambrian silicalite formation, composed of black chert and slate. The presence of the typical chert offers an important evidence to evaluate the possible submarine exhalative system and its role in the formation of the gold deposits, which were closely associated with percolation and diffusion along horizontal, vertical and axial orientation. Element zonation was clear due to the difference of element concentrations in different orientation, which bring about gold ,selenium, uranium, copper, stibium, molybdenum, mercury and so on precipitating in the form of simple or overlap orebody. The establishment of element zonation is highly helpful for evaluating directly the metallogenesis of gold deposit .
