摘要 本文介绍苔藓动物研究的发展过程,着重论述研究现状和目前国际上此类动物的研究动态,包括硬体分枝形式、形态结构、器官功能、繁殖方法、演化趋向与生态环境的关系;生物地理分区与板块构造的关系以及利用新技术、新方法;结合物理的、化学的和数学的理论和方法,综合考虑并详细观察微细构造和各种特征进行分类鉴定,有利于本学科的提高。将化石与现代苔藓动物研究紧密结合,将会促进本学科的发展并提高其应用价值。 This paper gives a brief review on bryozoan researches, emphasizing thepresent situation and the current trend in the research field. Detailed discussionsare made on the relationship of their zoarial branching patterns, functional mor-phology, reproduction and evolutionary tendency with ecological environmentas well as on the relationship between biogeographical provinces and plate tecton-ics. Classificatory identifications have been done by application of new methodsand techniques, combined with new theories in physics, chemistry and mathe-ma ics, as well as on the basis of careful observations on their microstraeturesand different morphological characteristics. It is suggested that an intimate combination of the study on fossil bryozoansand that on living bryozoans would significantly advance bryozoan research andenhance its polential application.
