摘要
华南理工大学图书馆于2007年与中国移动公司合作推出"掌上图书馆"项目,提供手机图书馆服务。"掌上图书馆"主要定位于图书馆传统业务,是可扩展的,依附于图书馆自动化管理系统并与之集成的,能够让用户通过手机等移动终端设备,以短信或WAP方式访问和接收图书馆服务的应用服务平台。但其WAP平台存在不符合业务逻辑、不能同步更新和通用性差等问题,改进思路是利用图书馆自动化系统的OPAC,建立"WAP-OPAC网关"。
In 2007, the Library of South China University of Technology along with China Mobile launched ＂Pocket Library＂ project to provide mobile library services. The ＂Pocket Library＂ is primarily defined as a service platform, which is a scalable for traditional library services, is attached and integrated to the library automation system, and allows users to access and receive library services via mobile phones and other mobile devices by means of SMS or WAP. But there are some problems in meeting the needs of business logic and synchronized updating. In order to improve the WAP platform, the author proposes to set up WAP--OPAC gateway by using OPAC of library automation system.
