摘要
"you know"的使用价值在于它是一种交际双方共同建构所描述的事件表征的手段。具体地说,"you know"可以使受话人认识到它所引入信息的关联性和隐含意义。我们可以依据该语用价值对"you know"的3种用法作出统一的解释。
We propose that it lies in the role of you know as a device to aid in the joint construction of the representation of the event being described.More specifically,we suggest that you know invites the addressee to recognize both the relevance and the implications of the utterance marked with you know.We believe this explanation applies equally to all three cases.
