光网络中保护光路的快速激活信令机制

Fast activation signaling scheme for protecting lightpaths in optical networks

摘要 针对通过用多协议标签交换(GMPLS)光网络中工作光路出现故障时保护光路的激活过程可能导致较长的故障恢复时间,成为限制应用的一个关键因素。本文从信令机制的角度研究缩短故障恢复时间的方法,扩展了现有的GMPSL信令协议,提出了一种保护光路的快速双向激活信令机制,分别从首尾两个方向同时激活一条保护光路,从而缩短了故障恢复时间。与现有的单向机制相比,双向机制减少了保护倒换过程中超过40%的告警激活时间,且在激活过程中需要更少的信息消息数,可以降低网络故障时控制平面的负载。 When a fault occurs on a working ligthpath,the traffic can′t be immediately switched to the protecting lightpath until the protecting ligthpath is activated by an activation signaling.This causes an unacceptable amount of recovery time which becomes a critical factor limiting the application of shared protection and 1∶1 protection.This paper proposes a fast bidirectional activation signaling scheme for decreasing the recovery time,which is the extension of the unidirectional scheme.The novel scheme allows that the protecting lightpath can be activated from two opposite directions simultaneously,thus shortening the recovery time.Compared with the unidirectional activation scheme,the bidirectional scheme reduces over 40% notification and activation time in protection switching,and it also uses fewer signaling messages,which can decrease the traffic load on control plane in failure case.
