摘要
经历了一百年的发展,这一领域早已成为恒星物理学的基本支柱之一。本文分十二个方面介绍近几年来的一些进展,兼及某些存在问题与展望,最后提及这方面研究在我国的发展和前景,认为关键在于努力建成恒星视向速度的实测基础。
In Part Ⅰ a review is given of some recent advances in this area leading to spec-troscopic orbits. It is subdivided into 1. Orbital solutions, 2. Series of papers giving spectroscopic orbits, 3. The determination of basic stellar quantities, 4. Binary ce-pheids, 6. WUMa binaries, 6. Symbiotic binaries, 7. Population I binaries, 8. Pre-main-sequence spectroscopic binaries, 9. Massive spectroscopic binaries, 10. The search for brown dwarfs/giant planets, 11. Binary radio pulsars, and 12. Contribution from small telescopes. Part Ⅰ is concerned with some problems and prospects, including the importance of proper astrophysical analysis of the observed radial velocities and the need of paying more attention to bright stars. And Part Ⅲ stresses the necessity of good radial velocity determinations to be performed in our country to keep abreast of world progress.
