详细分析了传统COM组件模型在设计开发上的不足以及XML技术在信息数据传递与交换上的优势，提出了一种基于XML技术的COM对象设计开发模型，并在该模型的指导下开发了高校学生管理信息系统。
The paper presents a detailed analysis of the deficiencies of the traditional COM components models in its de- sign and the advantages of the XML technology in its data transmission and information exchange. The paper proposes a model designed for COM object and based on XML technology and developed a college students administration information system under the guidance of the model.
