摘要
语言是社会文化的产物,它不仅具有词典上的涵义,还带有感情色彩上的意义。英汉民族在历史、地理、宗教、风俗习惯等方面的差别使各自的语言文化在感情色彩上都有爱憎褒贬、善恶之分,但表达的方式各有不同。因此,翻译时应考虑汉英词语的感情色彩的异同,译者一定要从上、下文及不同的语境去仔细推敲,力求翻译得体,再现原文的风韵,准确地表达原文的感情色彩。
Language is the product of social culture.It not only has the connotation in dictionaries,but also the meaning in emotion.The differences in history,geography,religion and custom between British and Chinese people lead to their language and culture shows emotional meaning,however,they have different expressions.Thus,emotional similarities and differences should be considered when we are doing translation.Translators should think twice from different contexts to make an appropriate translation,showing the emotional attitude of the source language.
