从用象草作为甲烷发酵基质的小型批量消化器中分离出一株厌氧、中温、形成芽孢的纤维素分解梭状芽孢杆菌。该菌在纤维素琼脂滚管上的菌落形态为假根状、半透明、不产色素。革兰氏阴性。细胞呈直杆状,末端椭圆,0.8—1.0微米宽,2.8—5.0微米长,不运动,中央或亚末端具有膨大的椭圆芽孢。发酵纤维素、纤维二糖、葡萄糖、木聚糖、果胶,象草,产生氢、二氧化碳、乙酸、微量丙酸和乙醇。脱氧核糖核酸(DNA)的G+C摩尔百分含量是34-35.7。
A Strain of mesophitic, Anaerobic, Spore-forming Cellulolytic Clostridium that is isolated from the Bench Top digesters of a batch fed methanogenic fermentation of elephant grass is described. The colonies of this bacteria in cellulose agar roll tube are rhizoids, translucent, unpigment. The cells are gram-negative. Single cells are straight rods with oval ends, 0.8μm to 1.0μm by 2.8μm to 5.0μm, non-motile, and form oval spore center or subterminal with swelling. The productions of fermentation are hydrogen, carbon dioxide, acetic acid, trace amount propionic acid, ethanol from cellulose, cellobiose, glucose, xlyan, pectin, elephant grass. The G + C content of the DNA is 34-35.7moles%.
