摘要
本文研究了湄洲湾潮滩的类型与分布、表层与浅层沉积、物质来源与发育特征。
The Meizhou Bay is located on the middle coastal section of Fujian Province on the western side of the Taiwan Strait. Its water stretch has an area of about 546 km^2. Types of tidal flats in the Bay are developed well in vast areas and various types. Depending on morphologic field surveys and laboratary analysis of grain size and ^(14)C age dating, this paper deals with the sedimentary and developing of the tidal flats. The results show that the tidal flats in the Meizhou Bay can be divided into five types:marine abrasion tidal flat, marine abrasion-accumulation tidal flat, marine accumulation tidal flat, accumulation tidal flat in lee of bedrock islands and estuarine accumulation sand-mud flat. Of which,in accordance with the sedimentation and dynamics, the abrasion-accumulation tidal flat is subdivided into three morphological subzones: the erosion sand-gravel subzone of high tide, the sand-mud subzone of middle tide, the fine sand subzone of low tide. Sedimentation and shapes of these subzones accord with the five stages of sediment transport and sedimentation which are effected by tides and waves.
Sea facies sedimentary sections of the tidal flats have two-veneers sedimentary structures ,the top of which is of fine and tidal flat sedimentary mantle, and the bottom is of coarse and tidal trough sediment.
The tidal flats have undergone the two phases of sand beach formation and modern mud tidal flat occurrance, which happended 6—7 ka, B. P..
