摘要
信息作为当今社会三大资源（材料、能量、信息）之一，对国民经济的发展正在起着越来越重要的作用。本文对信息、信息技术、信息产业的基本概念、应用与发展趋势作了论述，指出当代信息技术的发展趋势可归纳为：高速、大容量；综合化；数字化和个人化。同时，信息产业可分为三大类，即信息服务业、信息装备制造业和信息咨询业。从专业角度看，又分为通信业、计算机业、声像业和元器件业。通信业既包括服务业、也包括通信设备制造业和咨询业。最后，对信息产业涉及的主要领域诸如移动通信、数据通信、卫星通信、因特网、接入网、三网融合问题、信息网络和信息内容的融合问题。
Information is one of three resources(the other two are materials and energy)in the current society and plays more and more important role in the economic development.The prospects of IT are concluded as high speed,huge capacity,integration,digitalization and personalization.Meanwhile,the information industry is divided into three catalogues:information service providing,information equipment manufacturing and information consultation.From professional viewpoint,information industry also falls into telecommunication industry,computer,auvisual market and electronic parts industry.The telecommunication industry here also covers service,equipment manufacturing and consultation as well.Finally,we discussed the mobile communications,data communications,satellite,Internet,access network,convergence of tri networks,integration of information network and contents,the issues of informationalization and industrialization,and negative effects of IT etc.
