摘要
《现代汉语词典》(第5版)对古名物词的解释多用下定义的方式,其常见模式主要有七种;而下定义的释语中的种差内容却多种多样,按其内容所表达的功能,常见的主要有六种功能的种差,当然也有几种功能混用的种差内容;定义式释义中的类词语可以分为四个层级,不同层级的所指范围不同,上位词的范围包含了下位词,因此,《现代汉语词典》在古名物词释义时选择正确的类词语就显得尤为重要,否则,其释义必然会像我们所举之例那样含混不清。
In Contemporary Chinese Dictionary（5th edition）,giving a definition is the usual way to explain the ancient naming words.There are other seven formulas of the interpretations.However,as far as the content is concerned the defining explanation involves a variety of ways,which can be classified into six kinds according to their functions conveyed by the content.Of course,there are several other mixed functional differential contents.The defining explanation of the kind words can be divided into four layers,with each being different from the others in its coverage.The meaning of hyponym is included within the meaning of super-ordinate,therefore,it is particularly important for Contemporary Chinese Dictionary to choose the correct kind word to explain the ancient naming words;otherwise its interpretation will be inevitably ambiguous as the examples given in the paper.
